The event was based on a collaboration effort between representative of MOHE, Awantec, UPNM Change Ambassador (Dr Adib), UPNM IT Lead (Puan Sari) and respective AJK’s InTelex (Dr Azrul, Mr Afiq and team) to showcase GWS features within the learning community of UPNM; students and lecturers alike. Hence, the idea of making an appearance in InTelex event come to fruition.

The event was held in Dewan Zulfaqar, UPNM from 930am to 430 pm, 10 October 2024 (Thursday).

The event was officiated by YBhg. Lt Jen Datuk Mardzuki bin Muhammad, Deputy Chancellor of UPNM. The event theme was Innovation within the community of UPNM and was the 4th series they have done since 2021.

Awantec took this event as part of its 1st Roadshow for the MOHE GWS project as UPNM was the 1st to come forward to offer its venue to kickstart adoption and utilisation of GWS collaboration tools for their Lecturers and Students moving forward.

The event was based on a collaboration effort between representative of MOHE, Awantec and Google, with participations from various Local Universities represented by their Chief Information Officer and some Lecturers/ IT Officers.

The event was held in Le Meridien Putrajaya on the 12 Nov 2025 from 930am to 430 pm, 10 October 2024 (Tuesday).

The event was officiated by  MOHE Pn Harlina Othman (SUB Bahagian Pengurusan Maklumat), Awantec CEO En. Azlan Zainal Abidin and Mr Danial Azizan Abdullah Henry from Google Malaysia. The event was focusing on AI development in Google to best utilised and adopted by respective universities and colleges with a theme Sensing the Future: An Interactive Journey with Gemini. In the event,  2 concurrent workshops series were also being conducted with a title 1) Gemini for Workspace Admin and Operation and 2) Gemini for Academics.

Awantec took this event as part of its Tech Update activity under Change Management for the MOHE GWS project to kickstart adoption and utilisation of GWS collaboration tools for universities and colleges, focusing on their Lecturers and Students moving forward.

This event is hosted by MOHE with the involvement of universities, colleges and various partners including Awantec and Google which opened up a booth for the event. Many Lecturers and students nationwide from local and international university and colleges took this opportunity to explore various offerings including services and products offered in this event. They even look for potential jobs and internship offerings from booth to booth. There are various activities lined up for the 3 days event and for Awantec/ Google booth, we offered  Gemini and Google Workspace demos and explanation to entice possible utilisation from fellow lecturers and students.
